The Kick-off meeting of the European Union Twinning Light Project No. HR 12 IPA JH 01 16 TWL „Enhancing administrative and operative capacities of the National Police Office for Suppression of Corruption and Organized Crime (CRO NPOSCOC)" took place on 27 January 2017 in Zagreb (Croatia).
The project „Setting up the SIRENE Office: Strengthening capacities of SIReNE operators and end users of the Schengen Information System II (CRO SIRENE)" was started in June 2016.
On 15 July 2016 in Zagreb (Croatia) the opening ceremony of the EU Twinning Light project "Setting up the SIRENE Office: Strengthening capacities of SIRENE operators and end users of the Schengen Information System II (CRO SIRENE)" was organized.
On 12th and 13th of May an event for the closing of a completed project between the Lithuanian Police and the police institutions of partner countries, namely Latvia, Estonia, Sweden and Finland, is being held. Following an invitation by the Lithuanian Police Department, the event is attended by the Chiefs of police of the partner countries.
On 3 December 2015, Europol's European Cybercrime Centre (EC3) and Joint Cybercrime Action Taskforce (J-CAT), alongside INTERPOL, the Department of Homeland Security, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Cyber Investigative Joint Taskforce - IC4 and law enforcement officials from across the world, including 5 EU Member States, Albania and Montenegro, partnered with Microsoft and other members of the private sector to disrupt one of the most widespread malware families - Win 32 / Dorkbot.
Today, massive police forces from Lithuania and Germany joined together for a large-scale international operation resulting in over 100 searches and arrests. The operation was actively supported by Europol and Eurojust; Europol officers came to Lithuania to partake in certain operation-related activities. In the
Lithuanian Police express their heartfelt condolences with regard to the cruel murder of a minor in Sweden. It is suspected that the crime was committed by two individuals from Radviliškis with no previous convictions.
From 30 March to 1 April, Europol experts in sports corruption attended a conference on match-fixing in sports in Vilnius, Lithuania. The conference was hosted by the Lithuanian Football Federation (LFF) and the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA).
On 20 February 2015, the meeting of the chiefs of Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian, Finnish and Swedish police institutions took place. Such event is the first in the history of regional police cooperation.

Lithuanian Police with the help of the Norwegian colleagues is launching the Project "Strengthening of the Lithuanian and Norwegian police cooperation and capacities to fight against domestic and gender-based violence", funded by Norway.

This week officers of the Lithuanian Road Police Service in concert with their Polish and Romanian colleagues take part in a special police measure “Trivium III”, carried out in Birmingham. This measure is organized by European Traffic Police Network (hereinafter TISPOL) and Central Motorway Police Group.
On 4-5 September this year a four-lateral Lithuanian, Latvian, Estonian and Polaskie Voivodeship police chiefs' meeting is held in Palanga, Lithuania. This has been the second year when the traditional format of the meeting of Baltic States' police chiefs has been extended by inviting the police representatives from the neighboring Poland.
Last weekend, on 22-24 August, officers of the Public Police Board of the Police Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania (hereinafter - Police Department) and Lithuanian Criminal Police Bureau as well as their colleagues from other foreign countries carried out a new preventive measure called "Bicycles - 2014".
At the end of the previous week, on 16 August, the citizen of the Republic of Lithuania Romas Zamolskis (born in 1970), wanted by the Lithuanian police, was arrested in Yekaterinburg, the Russian Federation.
Last week, following the intensive and successful long-term investigation, officers of Lithuanian criminal Police Bureau (hereinafter LCPB) in concert with the Swedish Police, Europol and Anti-terrorist Operations Unit “Aras” detained four persons in Palanga and Kaunas cities. The persons are suspected of extortion of property of a high value and thefts, most of which were possibly committed on the territory of Sweden.
Lithuanian Police delegation headed by the Lithuanian Police Commissioner General Mr. Saulius Skvernelis is on a visit to Police Day events in Warsaw (Poland).
On 10 July 2014 a newly appointed liaison officer from the Federal Police of the Kingdom of Belgium, Mr. Jean-Pierre Van Gestel, was introduced at the Police Department under the Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Lithuania, and the guidelines of forthcoming cooperation were discussed.
Lithuanian Police together with Nordic-Baltic partners will strengthen strategic cooperation within the newly started project "Introduction and development of strategic approach to international police cooperation and EU acquis implementation at regional level in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Finland and Sweden".
